A little care goes a long way in keeping your family’s favorite products clean and ready for everyday use. Please follow any care instructions included with your specific product, as materials and finishes may vary.

Educrate Wooden Toys

Wood is a natural material, so variations in grain, color, and texture are normal. To help keep wooden toys in good condition:

Cleaning

Wipe the toy with a soft cloth slightly dampened with water.
For dirt or sticky spots, add a small amount of mild soap to the damp cloth.
Wipe away any soap residue with a separate, slightly damp cloth.
Dry immediately with a clean cloth, then allow the toy to air-dry completely before storing or using it again.
For an non varnished toy, an adult may gently smooth a small rough spot using fine-grit sandpaper. Sand in the direction of the wood grain, then wipe away all dust with a slightly damp cloth and allow the toy to dry completely before use.

Please do not soak or submerge wooden toys in water, place them in the dishwasher, or leave them wet for extended periods. Excess moisture may cause wood to swell, warp, crack, or affect its finish.

Avoid bleach, harsh cleaning products, and abrasive scrubbers. Do not spray vinegar directly onto the toy; vinegar may affect some finishes, paints, and adhesives.

Storage and maintenance

Store in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from excessive moisture and prolonged direct sunlight.
Check toys regularly for cracks, splinters, loose parts, or damaged surfaces.
Wood polish is not necessary for most finished toys. If you wish to use a treatment on unfinished wood, please check with us first for a suitable product. Avoid household furniture polish, especially on toys that children may put in their mouths.

Educrate Wooden Toys (Coated)

For wooden furniture coated with a child-friendly varnish:

Wipe occasionally with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Use a little mild soap if needed, then wipe away the residue.
Dry immediately and allow the item to air-dry fully.
Avoid soaking, harsh cleaners, abrasive pads, and prolonged exposure to moisture.
Keep indoor wooden furniture indoors, away from rain and direct exposure to heat or sunlight.
Check screws, bolts, and joints regularly. Tighten any loose fittings according to the assembly instructions, without overtightening.
Check for cracks, splinters, loose parts, or other damage before use. Stop using the item if it becomes unstable or damaged.

Food-Grade Silicone Teethers and Silicone Products

Before first use and after each use

Wash with warm water, mild dish soap, and a soft sponge or cloth.
Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove all soap.
Allow to air-dry completely, or dry with a clean cloth before storing.

For items with grooves or textured areas, clean gently around each section where milk, food, or saliva may collect.

Drying and storage

After washing, rinse thoroughly and allow all parts to dry completely before storing. Pay special attention to grooves, folds, suction bases, and any areas where water or food may become trapped.

If the product has removable parts, separate them for cleaning and drying according to the product instructions. Store in a clean, dry, well-ventilated place. Avoid putting the item away while damp or keeping it in a closed container when wet, as trapped moisture may encourage mold growth.

Avoid abrasive scrubbers and strong cleaning chemicals.
Inspect teethers before every use.
Store clean and dry in a well-ventilated place.
Always supervise children while using a teether.

Stainless Steel Plates

Cleaning

Wash before first use and after every meal with water, mild dish soap, and a soft sponge.
Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth to help prevent water spots.
For stuck-on food, soak the plate briefly in warm, soapy water, then clean gently.

Avoid steel wool, abrasive scrubbers, bleach, and chlorine-based cleaners, which may scratch or damage the surface.

Microwave use: Do not place stainless steel plates in the microwave.

Check the plate regularly and stop using it if it develops sharp edges, deep damage, or loose parts.

Outdoor Playground Equipment

Outdoor equipment needs regular cleaning and inspection because it is exposed to sun, rain, humidity, and changing weather.

Regular cleaning

Remove dirt and debris with a soft cloth or brush.
Clean surfaces with mild soap and water, then rinse or wipe away any residue.
Allow the equipment to dry thoroughly before use.
Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive tools that may damage the finish.

Before each use

Check that the equipment is stable and that the play area is clear. Look for:

Loose, missing, or protruding bolts and fittings
Cracks, splinters, sharp edges, or damaged components
Worn ropes, chains, swing seats, or attachment points
Rust or other signs of deterioration
Standing water or slippery surfaces

Ongoing maintenance

Inspect and maintain the equipment regularly, following its assembly and product instructions.
Repaint or Reseal every 6months or yearly.
Tighten loose hardware as directed, taking care not to overtighten.
Keep the area beneath and around the equipment clear, and maintain the recommended protective play surface.
Check surfaces for excessive heat before play, especially after direct sun.
If the product is made of wood, follow its specific outdoor care instructions. Not all wooden products are treated for outdoor exposure, so please check with us before leaving an item outdoors.
Adult supervision is recommended whenever children use playground equipment.
